After some years in the UK health sector in a variety of LIS management and leadership roles, joined the University of Kent in 2011 where she successfully repositioned library services as a trusted research partner. Set up an Office for Scholarly Communication aimed at evolving research support and with a radical focus on supporting Early Career Researchers, enabling multidisciplinary research and championing the inclusive research environment. Was awarded an Honorary Staff Associateship having left the Deputy Director role in spring 2021 to pursue new projects. Has been part of national and international working groups and projects. Holds an MSc in Information and Knowledge Management and completed an MBA in 2018 which led to an in-depth study looking at innovation and reinvention in UK and European academic libraries.

Caleb Derven

Caleb Derven is Head of Digital Scholarship and Library Systems at the University of Limerick. Caleb has been an active participant in the international open repository software community and actively contributes towards digital scholarship and OS infrastructures at policy and operational levels. Caleb is the Co-Chair of for LIBER’s Digital Scholarship and Digital Cultural Heritage Working Group, as well as the Co-Chair for Ireland’s National Open Research Forum (NORF) Infrastructure Working Group and is a PI on two grants awarded through NORF. Before coming to UL, Caleb worked at the New York State Archives, the New York State Library and University College Dublin. He holds a BA in Classics/ Comparative Literature from Columbia University, an M.Phil in Anglo-Irish Literature from Trinity College Dublin, an MLIS from the University at Albany and an MA in Digital Humanities from Maynooth University.
