At the end of 2017 we are closing volume 27 of our journal. This is our first issue in the ‘continuous publication model’, where each paper is published immediately after acceptance, both in HTML and PDF. By doing so we avoid unnecessary delays in accessibility or in the availability of the full citation details of the papers. Each issue grows incrementally during the year, with continuous pagination which may be different from the order on the content page.

Volume 27 contains 2 review papers, 5 case studies, 5 regular articles and 1 book review. Seven papers emanated from an oral contribution at LIBER’s Annual General Conferences in Helsinki (2016) or in Patras (2017), and they are therefore also accessible via the virtual ‘Special Collections of Selected Papers’ from these conferences.

For the papers that will be processed in 2018, we will build it up in a similar way to volume 28. Librarians and LIS scholars are encouraged to submit their contributions, so that all colleagues can share their experiences in the spirit of Open Access in an Open Society. Please have a look at the ‘Author Guidelines’ in the ‘Submission’ page of our website.
